I love my husband.. even though i wasnt with him on Vday

and not just because he got me an iphone for vday...
(thanks to candice).
fulfilling one of my goals in life...

I love him because he carries me to bed when im too tired to get up from the couch. and because he thinks its funny i would rather sleep on the couch then walk 12 feet to my room at 11:30.

and a few other reasons.

Another "Lizism"

Liz asked me to diversify her blog so I thought I would do just that. Since I live with Liz I see all sides of her, so it makes my life very fun. It helps me to discover "Lizisms". One of them is: Liz watches/listens to "background movies". I know that probably doesn't make sense. But when most of us pay to go to a movie theatre to see a movie and escape reality, Liz just sees that as an opportunity to think of something else while a movie is playing in the background. Hence, background movies. She does this at home too when we sit down to "watch" a movie. If you're not sure what I'm talking about just watch a movie with Liz and she will either ask a hundred questions during the movie because she is interested in the plot but not in watching the movie, or, she will not ask a thing about the movie and during it she will either start vacuuming, or, find the loudest thing to turn on like the dishwasher. Either way she will not know too much about what you just watched because it's just a background movie for her. It is actually really funny. Anyway, stay tuned for more "lizisms". So with that Information, for those of you who know about our first date, you can evaluate "who" was the victim. I'm not the one who likes "background movies". p.s while writing this liz asks me while i'm scrolling the channels "What's Speed?"  We watched that movie less than a week ago, true story, see my point? :)

Vegas Baby

I am going here this weekend:

With this little girl:

And I love them both.

A lot.

I've always loved Vegas, ever since I was a little girl. I dont know what it is, I guess a combination of the big city, lights, fancy places, walking on the strip (on the nice side), the sun....

Me and my dad took a trip there when I was nine or ten and we shopped, ate at nice restaurants, stayed out late, ate chips and salsa and dove bars for lunch and I even taught him the Mambo Number 5 song... I hope you all remember this song.. but in case you forgot I went ahead and looked up the chorus for you..

"A little bit of Monica in my life
A little bit of Erica by my side
A little bit of Rita is all I need
A little bit of Tina is what I see
A little bit of Sandra in the sun
A little bit of Mary all night long
A little bit of Jessica here I am
A little bit of you makes me your man"

And I still love that song (and i hope it is now in your head like its now in mine)..

And for some reason my dad's love of Vegas rubbed off on me.

And I WILL take advantage of the 2 days this semester BYU gives me a break from school.

And I'm excited to hang out with meg (Lar's sister) and the two cutest kids ever.. oh and aaron. Zach will tell you how much I love this little family .. and kind of want to be them...

Clare (Meg's daughter) told Lar that I was her favorite friend of Lar's... no offense guys... but I just thought you should know.

My Mary's Wedding

My pretty friend Mary is married.
And her wedding was one of the most beautiful weddings that I have been to.
The pilkington's did everything themselves... flowers, hairpieces, pictures, wedding video.
Needless to say, they are a very talented family, everything was so unique and.. like i said.. beautiful.
I loved it and I love cute Mary and Andrew.

I couldnt get enough of these two. They are so cute. Sammy is Mary's little brother and Penny is her niece. Amy (Mar's sister-in-law) always has Penny dressed darling from head to toe and her and Sam just hung out the whole day. It was sweet.

Lar wanted that that bouquet more than anyone. She took off her heels and got in ready position.. and even took a young girl in red out. Still, it was not meant to be. Chelsea K cought it and was kind enough to give it to little Lar. Very touching.
Im obsessed with Mary's ring.

They had the cutest details. They hand-made those little birds on the tree, and they were all unique. And Mary loves birds. So cute.

And my little Shel belle. We have spent EVERY single New Years Eve together since seventh grade (except this years because I was out of the country...). Somehow we just always end up together. and it was partly her fault we went to zach's friends house a few new years eve's back( it was actually her, lar, and lindsay's fault)... so I blame her as being partly responsible for us meeting. Because I for one was against going to strange boys house after midnight on New Years... But fortunately I am the only logical one because if we hadn't gone I would not have met Zach.

Maybe peer pressure isnt as bad as people say.

LIZ IS BREAKING DOWN: BEWARE

You guys.
I started crying. no, sobbing. in front of my editor today.
I'm officially unstable.

I have also been made aware that I am making everyone around me stressed out, too.
Namely my husband, my mother, my father, Candice, and even my uncle Brad Rock (reporter for the Deseret News) who asked one of my fellow class reporters how I was doing in the class when he met him at a bball game.

Thanks for your concern people, apparently I need it.

My editor basically just told me I need to be in the lab more or I wont do well in the class and my eyes started watering and then he saw that I was crying and I got embarrassed and lost control.
I hope none of you have to see me like that.
Its uncomfortable for all.
He was really nice though.
And now he is going out of his way to help me do well.
So, in a weird, twisted way.. Maybe it was a good thing.
Sorry, editor seth.

I would rather have mono again in the middle of finals week and be taking calculus, chemistry, and humanities. I really would.

On a happier note:
we went paintballing for David's Bday on Saturday and when we got home I noticed that my husband had googled "paintball strategies."
Yes, he really did.
WHY you might ask?
We do not know people, we just dont know.

He also is having a hard time with my instability. arent we all. someone come save him from provo and liz.

another happy note:
my family has 2 asian 16 year olds living with them.
they're very entertaining.
and one of them loves tj
none of us understand this seeing as tj is the least likeable person in our family,
but ian adores him
on friday, he stayed home from his asian activites so he wouldn't miss one second of tj's basketball game.
tj doesn't know what to do with this kind of attention.
poor middle-child-that-came-after-me-so-is-overshadowed... we give you an asian friend to boost your self- esteem.
I wish I had a picture of the asians. i'll work on that.

another thing:
Jess is having her baby soon. and I cant wait.
She's a pretty pregnant lady.

That's all.

And here are some pics that I came across today that made me happy... even though they were from a Christmas party I couldnt go to....
